San Jose police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a teenage male Thursday afternoon at a strip shopping center at Senter Road and Capitol Expressway across the street from Andrew Hill High School. No arrests have been made.

EmailApple Design Awards 2007: Celebrating the Best in Mac OS X software.
WWDC 2007 is taking place currently from June 11 to June 15 in Moscone West, San Francisco with the keynote presentation hosted by Steve Jobs. Apple showed off a feature-complete beta of Mac OS 10.5 Leopard, though its release date was pushed back to October. Jobs announced that Safari will now be available for Windows and announced support for third-party development for the upcoming iPhone . Jobs also announced the launch date for the iPhone, which he was widely expected to do, as June 29, 2007. Shipments are to begin at 6:00PM local time (meaning those on EDT will have a 3 hour jump-start). Jobs also revealed during the keynote that over 5000 attendees are present at WWDC07, breaking last year's record.

The near-final version of Mac OS X Leopard, unveiled today at the World Wide Developers Conference, introduces over 300 new features. They include a new Desktop and Dock with Stacks; an updated Finder featuring Cover Flow and a new way to easily browse and share files between multiple Macs; Quick Look, a new way to rapidly preview most files without opening an application; Time Machine, a new way to easily and automatically back up and restore lost files or a complete Mac; Spaces, a powerful new feature to create groups of applications and instantly switch between them; and enhanced iChat and Mail applications, which easily allow users to communicate even more creatively. Mac OS X Leopard, the sixth major release of the world’s most advanced operating system, is scheduled to ship in October.View Comments (0)
